Mohammad Rahmanian (born 1962 in Tehran) is an Iranian playwright, director, and theater instructor. His works are widely recognized for their humanistic and social perspectives. He completed his studies in directing and dramatic literature at the Faculty of Fine Arts and the Faculty of Art in Tehran, and began his professional career in theater in the early 1980s.
Rahmanian is considered one of the most influential figures in contemporary Iranian theater, with productions such as Interview, The Bridge, Old Songs, and Old Songs: Love in the Time of Corona. His performances in various theaters have consistently attracted large audiences.
In addition to his theater work, Rahmanian has been active in cinema, collaborating on various film projects as a director and screenwriter. His plays often focus on social, cultural, and contemporary historical issues in Iran. His artistic style, characterized by the use of live music, modern theatrical forms, and layered narratives, has drawn the attention of theater enthusiasts.
