Touraj Aslani is a celebrated Iranian cinematographer and director who began his artistic journey with photography at age 10 and 8 mm filmmaking by 14, later earning a BFA in Graphics and Film Directing from Sooreh University 

Aslani has served as director of photography for over 100 films ranging from features to documentaries earning top honors like the Bronze Frog at Camerimage, San Sebastián’s Best Cinematography, and Asia Pacific’s Cinematography Award for his work on Rhino Season 

Transitioning into directing, his feature films Jingo (2014), Gold Carrier (2018), and Landless (2020) have screened at international festivals, with Landless, Wabell  notably winning the Innovative Director and Golden Silk Road Award at China’s Silk Road Film Festival
